ISSUE DESCRIPTION:
In Device Manager, my RealSense D435, or D415, camera shows only the depth node. There is no color (RGB) stream or node in Device Manager.
D415 shows only D410 depth and has no color node.
D435 shows only D430 depth and has no color node.
ENVIRONMENT:
Windows 10
CAUSE:
Corrupted firmware
RESOLUTION:
Perform the following steps to recover the RGB node. First, ensure the camera is connected to a USB 3 port on your computer. The steps below assume you are using a Windows 10 system but work just as well on Linux.
- Use RealSense Viewer to roll back the firmware to 5.9.2.0 (or maybe just a different one from your current version) [NOTE: During the firmware update, you will see "SR400 Device" is shown under Device Manager].
- The KEY is DO NOT disconnect USB3 cable right after firmware update finishes - just leave it there for ~20 seconds .... (You will see "SR400" turns to "D450", and then turns to D415 or D435.
- After rolling back to FW5.9.2, wait 20 sec......then Unplug the camera.
- Replug camera, then DFU it to the latest firmware and wait 20 sec ......
Every time you do a firmware update, be patient and leave the camera connected until it is completely enumerated on the USB port.
