ISSUE DESCRIPTION:
How can I connect my SR300 module to the USB port on my PC?
RESOLUTION:
The Intel RealSense SR300 module is meant to be integrated or embedded into a product by an OEM or system integrator, it is not meant to be used as an external, standalone camera connected to a PC. If you want an SR300 camera that comes with a USB cable that you can easily connect to your PC and you will not design into another product, get the SR300 camera/developer kit instead of the module. The SR300 module is inside the SR300 camera.
If you must use the SR300 module for some reason, the SR300 datasheet describes the components you will need to build yourself in order to connect the SR300 module to a USB port.
Cable and connector design: Pages 33 - 35, Section 7.2.2, 7.2.3 and 7.2.4
Page 51, Appendix B - SR300 Cable Drawings
Pages 52 - 54, Appendix C - SR300 USB Adapter
The SR300 module gets connected to the SR300 USB Adapter via the IPEX cable described above. Then use a USB3 micro-B to USB3 type-A cable to connect the adapter to your PC's USB3 port.
You must build your own USB adapter and IPEX cable assembly as described in the datasheet.
