Intel Realsense d435i IR matrix Projector gaps
Hi!
I am using Intel Realsense d435i camera's IR matrix projector to get object segmentation from a flat surface from "top"/"bird's eye" view. I set a clipping distance of 2-3 cm from the surface, and I see some gaps on the surface of the object, in this case I use the camera's box. As you can see in the center theres a black area.
I tried increasing EXPOSURE value and lowering GAIN value from Tunin depth cameras for best performance documentation but results aren't improving.
Why is this happening? Is there any setting to tune the IR projector and improve results? any tip on how to improve this and see whole surface?
Thanks in advance!

Hi Fpelegri Does the hole close up if you increase the Laser Power setting from its default of '150' to its maximum of '360' please? Increasing the Laser Power can close up holes in the depth image as it intensifies the visibility of the projector's output.

Hi MartyG,
Much better with 'laser_power = 360' value, gaps became smaller.
Thanks! :)
