Hi Sxl1437280316  The SR300 camera model is a USB 3 device that requires a USB 3 port.  Is your camera plugged into a USB 3 port on your computer if it has one, please?  It will not be listed in the Device Manager if inserted into a USB 2 port.

Yes, the sticker shows the serial number.

An SR300 camera can be used to access RGB with non-RealSense applications that use video even if the RealSense aspects of the camera such as depth sensing are not working.  So being able to use the camera's RGB with OpenCV is not an indication that the camera is fully functional, unfortunately.

Intel.RealSense.FW.Update.exe is for use with RealSense 400 Series cameras and is not compatible with SR300. With the SR300, firmware updates are performed in the RealSense Viewer's More drop down menu instead.

In the Device Manager, there should be three drivers listed for SR300: Depth, RGB and Virtual.  These drivers may all be under the 'Imaging Devices' category or divided between 'Imaging Devices' and 'Cameras'.

Sometimes an SR300 does not work if the Virtual Driver is missing and sometimes the Virtual Driver is missing but the camera still works.  So I cannot say for certain that the absence of the Virtual Driver is the cause of the problem with detecting the camera in the Viewer.

Next, please try right-clicking on the Depth driver and selecting the menu option to uninstall the device.  Do the same for the RGB driver.  Then unplug the camera, wait 2 seconds and re-insert the camera into the USB port.  The drivers should then automatically reinstall.  Check afterwards if the camera can now be detected in the Viewer.

    is this camera serial number?

    if yes, I try Intel.RealSense.FW.Update.exe,but

if not, i can not find camera serial number, because

    rs-fw-update -l

    no device connected.

    Thanks for your help !

    Have a good day,

    This is my device manager

    1.  WinUSB 设备= WinUSB device      (the right one should be Intel(R) RealSense(TM) Camera SR300 )

    2. USB 视频设备= USB video device  (the right one should be Intel(R) RealSense(TM) Camera SR300 Depth)

    3. USB 视频设备= USB video device  (the right one should be Intel(R) RealSense(TM) Camera SR300 RGB)

my realsense-viewer version is 2.38.1, but it shows nothing

""In the Device Manager, there should be three drivers listed for SR300: Depth, RGB and Virtual.  These drivers may all be under the 'Imaging Devices' category or divided between 'Imaging Devices' and 'Cameras'." "

In my device manager, there is no 'Imaging Devices', only "camera"

you can see the icon in front of the word.

As for "Virtual" in "Depth, RGB and Virtual", I never see the "Virtual"

Can you check the camera privacy settings in Windows please to ensure that permission to access the camera hardware and permission for applications to access the camera are both set to On.  Instructions for doing so can be found at the link below.

I also try intel_rs_dcm_sr300_3.4.104.3435 , the exe can not detect sr300.

I think the question is maybe here

WinUSB 设备= WinUSB device    (the right one should be "Intel(R) RealSense(TM) Camera SR300" )

The realsense-viewer and intel_rs_dcm_sr300_3.4.104.3435.exe just detect the serial as a WinUSB device,  not a sr300 camera.

pyrealsense2 do not work as well

Let's try installing the Virtual Driver to see whether the driver being missing is the cause of your problem.  Please remove the Depth and RGB drivers from the Device Manager again and unplug the camera, then download the file intel_rs_dcm_sr300 from the link below and run it.

    https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/18309/intel-realsense-depth-camera-manager.html

This file is a driver installation program for the SR300 called the Depth Camera Manager (DCM) that should install the Depth, RGB and Virtual drivers.

I remove the Depth and RGB drivers from the Device Manager again and unplug the camera, and run intel_rs_dcm_sr300.exe

but it show "Setup cannot detect Intel in this system ® Real sense ™ 3D camera. Installation terminated."

Okay, run the program again with the camera inserted.

If the DCM program still does not detect the camera then it would suggest that there is insufficient power being supplied to the camera by the USB port to meet its power requirements when performing tasks that require more power than simply listing the drivers in the Device Manager.

This is a known issue with the SR300 model.  Using a mains electricity powered USB 3 hub instead of attaching the computer directly to the computer or to a non-mains hub (one powered by the computer's USB port) can sometimes resolve this problem.

the DCM program still does not detect the camera

What is requirement of sr300 for electricity?

But the realsense-viewer in my computer has succeed to detect the sr300 and show both rgb and depth image,  however, realsense-viewer can not detect the sr300 suddenly.

I am not certain of the power draw of the SR300.  However, when using a 400 Series camera model it has been recommended to budget for a power draw of 2 watts per camera, and the 400 Series is more power efficient than the SR300.

Another power-related issue of the SR300 in the Viewer is that when the camera is detected, if the depth stream is enabled then the camera may disconnect and disappear from the Viewer.

A way to test this is to go to the Laser Power option under Stereo Module > Controls and set the Laser Power to '0' before enabling the depth stream.

If the camera does not disconnect after enabling the depth stream, increase the Laser Power value.  If the camera disconnects then this is evidence that the USB port is providing the camera with insufficient power.

Well, I have figure out what is wrong with my sr300

    Now my realsense-viewer shows

and because of the question of electricity , the depth camera will disconnect my sr300 from my computer, but at least my realsense-viewer can detect my sr300.

If the files in the two link can be downloaded, you can comment your email here, I would like to share them with you by email.

At last, thank MartyG very much for his advice.
