Should I avoid the T265 for new projects?
Hi,
I'm investigating the use of RealSense cameras for my project. This includes the T265. But when I read the last posts on this forum about the T265, it seems that support for T265 is dead.
Is this the case?

Yeah, support for the T265 is minimal. It's kind of an 'off you go' situation. But with that said, it works incredibly well for my particular purposes, and I'm just crunching through my own research with fingers crossed that support and development continue from Intel. Hope the folks at Intel are reading this, because there's so much potential in this, especially at a device at this price point.

I'm affraid I will need their support in my situation. The thing is that I would like to use it inside a moving cabine. So I want to disable the gyroscope and acceleration sensor.
Maybe you (Euh219) know if that is possible? If that can be switched of from the API, I may not need support from Intel. -
I haven't done that myself, as my needs require gyro and acceleration data. However, you can always just not register that information when retrieving pose data - again, can't give you precise numbers, but I can't imagine turning off those values at the hardware level would improve detection efficiency by all that much (if at all).
