Hi Vjbirds Could you please try uninstalling the Depth and RGB drivers again in the Device Manager as suggested earlier in this discussion, but this time use the instructions in the link below. These more recent instructions have an extra step involving selecting a small tick-box called "Delete the driver software for this device" that completely uninstalls the Depth and RGB drivers.

If the camera is able to be detected then it should automatically reinstall the Depth and RGB drivers when the camera is unplugged and re-inserted after the driver uninstall. Can you confirm please that if you insert the camera and open the Cameras category of the Device Manager, the Depth and RGB drivers are not listed there?
Also, can you confirm that access to the camera hardware and access to camera applications are both set to On in the Windows privacy settings?

Hello MartyG, we are having the same issue with a D455 camera after a bad firmware update. We made a mistake and uploaded a wrong firmware. Now, the device is detected as unknown device. In the realsense viewer appear the following message in the log when the device is connected:
17:41:21 context.cpp:382 - Found 1 RealSense devices (mask 0xff)
But we couldn't communicate with/recovery the device by following the suggestions in this thread.
We didn't bought the sensor directly from Intel and will be impracticable to ship it other country. The sensor is in Brazil.
Please. let us know if there are any new suggestion that we could try remotely.

Hi Matheusjat There may not be much else remaining that you can try, unfortunately. If you are using Windows then what you could do is try downloading and running the old 2.38.1 standalone .exe version of the RealSense Viewer from the 'Assets' file list at the link below.
https://github.com/IntelRealSense/librealsense/releases/tag/v2.38.1
The Intel.RealSense.Viewer.exe file should be launched from the folder location that it was downloaded to and not with the Windows desktop launch shortcut icon.
If the D455 is detected in the side-panel of the Viewer then click on the 'More' option and select 'Install Recommended Firmware' from its drop-down menu. This should automatically install the minimum firmware version that will work with the D455 model.

If you purchased the camera from a retailer in Brazil and the purchase was within the previous 30 days then you may be able to arrange a return of the camera with that retailer without having to ship it out of the country. For cameras not purchased from Intel's official online store, the retailer it was bought from should be contacted for advice about whether a return to them can be carried out.

Hello MartyG, I could upload the correct firmware by realsense viewer disconnecting the internal FPC that connect the D4 board with the camera module.
Without the fpc connection, the realsense viewer detected the board.
Thanks for your help. Maybe it can also help some customers that have some difficult to ship the camera for maintenance.
