F450/F455 for scanning surfaces instead

Hi,

Is it possible to repurpose F450/F455 to scan the surface of a near metal part for holes? (around 0.5cm hole diameter)

If yes, F450/F455 would be more accurate than D415 for close distances? (ex. 30cm away)

Hi Jopet,

The facts I know are below.

The F45x series is not for scanning, it is a sensor for face authentication only.

There is no API to get the RAW value for depth in F455 basically, the F455 use disparity for anti-spoofing and not convert the disparity into depth.

Please wait until Q3'21. Then you can meet the product you want.
