Hardware Syncing two 435f cameras.
Hello!
I am currently working on a project that involves using two 435f cameras with ROS. In order to synchronize the cameras, I followed the instructions provided on this link: https://vcl3d.github.io/VolumetricCapture/docs/hardware/rs2_hardware/. However, the custom cable I created with a 9-pin connector does not provide the robustness I require for this project. I would appreciate any recommendations for purchasing a more reliable cable or suggestions for a software-based solution to address the synchronization issue.

Hi Lenart, if you are using long length sync cabling then they may be vulnerable to electrostatic discharge (ESD), which can cause the frame counter on the camera to reset. The official Intel hardware sync guide has an electronics diagram for adding ESD protection components into the cable.

There is not a purchasing source for pre-made hardware sync cables, unfortunately.
