Hi Meir Goldenberg  If the RealSense Viewer tool is launched then if metadata is not enabled, there is usually a pop-up box in the top corner of the Viewer window that asks if you want to enable metadata.

Metadata can also be enabled by editing the Windows Registry, though this is only recommendable for Windows users who have confidence in their registry editing abilities, otherwise there is a risk of breaking Windows.

    Thanks Marty,

Just to confirm, as the guide is relevant to windows10, will the registry updated work the same way on windows11?

As far as I am aware the registry editing procedure has not been tested on Windows 11 as the Viewer corner pop-up is the most common method of enabling metadata, but the Windows 10 SDK usually functions fine on Windows 11 without having to make alterations to get it to work.

    Thanks Marty.

It seems like the issue is related to the USB cable in use. He has a USB2.1 and it appears that realsense requires USB3.

He'll try a different cable during next week and I'll post back if he still sees the issue.

Thanks very much.  RealSense cameras can work with USB 2.1, though 2.1 is slower and the range of resolution / FPS speed combinations supported is limited compared to USB 3.
