Intel L515 can't detect black cable/ objects with 10 mm diameter, Can the new alternative D435i detect them?

I am currently using the Intel L515 for my work and it can't detect the black objects and cables properly and can be used only indoors.

As the L515 ended on Feb 2022, and the new alternatives are D435i as per my knowledge. I was wondering since the new D435i can be used in outdoor as well as indoor and some other improvements have been made.

So the question is can it be used to detect the black objects and cables which was shortcoming of the L515.

Intel® RealSense™ LiDAR Camera L515 is designed for indoor application only. Intel® RealSense™ Depth Camera D435i, which is one of the alternatives for Intel® RealSense™ LiDAR Camera L515 is designed for indoor and outdoor applications.

You may refer to the following thread where a user used Intel® RealSense™ Depth Camera D435i to detect black objects.
