I saw the following post that provided some information on how to interface with the D457 https://support.intelrealsense.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/15142091952147-he-interface-device-that-connects-the-Intel-RealSense-Depth-Camera-D457-to-a-PC-?input_string=Intel%20D457%20Hardware%20and%20Software%20Interfacing.
I like the waterproof nature of the D457 and the potential to use a higher bandwidth interface moving forward. In the meantime though I would just like to connect the camera via USBC for simplicity and testing as well as using a Java library that someone wrote for the camera.https://github.com/cansik/librealsense-java/releases. In one of their releases, they said they added support for the D455.
So just to reiterate what was said in this other post. If I change the dip switch to switch it to USB mode, the FAKRA connector will no longer have data and when I plug the device in over USB it will show up as a D455, and interfacing with it via software should be identical.
Given I like the waterproof nature does anyone have any recommendations for waterproofing say the D455?
