need help for identity model

    It does have characteristics of a D455 model but with a more simplistic casing, lacking any identifying stickers and - most crucially - lacking a removable cover on top for access to a set of hardware sync pins. I note that the tripod thread on the bottom of the camera is centralized in the middle of the camera and there are no ventilation grilles.  The two small mounting holes on the rear of the camera are also positioned in an unusual place.

    Based on these characteristics, it could be a pre-release engineering sample unit of a camera in the D455 product class (D455, D456, D457) and not the final version sold publicly.  I cannot see any means of disassembly for access on this unit.

     

    As it does not have ventilation grilles for water to enter into, it is probably safe to try attaching to a computer to see whether it is operational and can be detected and identified.
