T265 Device not detected
We have confirmed that the T265 is plugged into a USB 3.0 port on the Dell Precision 7910 machine, however the T265 never shows up in the Windows 10 device manager
After running the Intel Realsense viewer we can see the T265 device being tracked.
When running the CameraViewer.cpp.exe program in the Intel\RSSDK\bin\x64 folder we get the error message "Failed to locate any video streams" . We get this same message even after rebuilding this program in Visual Studio 2017.
The Unity sample runs but generates the error message "no device detected"
Any help you can provide would be most appreciated. Thanks.

Problems with detecting the T265 sometimes is a known issue. For example, if using the T265 with a USB hub, it is recommended that the USB hub is powered up first and then the T265 is connected to the hub, otherwise the T265 may not be recognized if both hub and T265 try to activate at the same time.
If you are not using a hub, please try powering up your Dell first with the T265 not plugged in and then plug the T265 in once boot is complete and see if that fixes your detection issue.

Marty,
Thanks for the quick response. The T265 is not plugged into a hub (plugs directly into the the usb3.0 port on the front of the dell box. We have tried rebooting the dell box as you have suggested but it doesn't make a difference. Looks like the t265 is showing up as a Movidius device in the universal serial bus section of the windows 10 device manager. -
Other T265 users have experienced this issue of non-detection and the listing of the device as Movidius.
My understanding is that with the T265, it differs from the RealSense depth cameras in that the firmware driver is bundled into the RealSense SDK. So to automatically update the T265 firmware to the latest version, you should install the latest version of the SDK and then plug the T265 camera in after installation is complete.

I would not expect the T265 to work with the RSSDK SDK or cameraviewer.CPP.exe, as the old SDK from 2016 was created years before the T265 existed and does not support modern RealSense cameras (the most recent that RSSDK supports is the old SR300 camera model).
It ought to work with the latest RealSense SDK such as 2.24.0 though. Did you install the full 529 mb SDK installer file instead of just the 26 mb RealSense Viewer installer file please?

We finally got the system to detect the Realsense camera. This was accomplished by first uninstalling and removing all the current and previous Realsense software installed on the machine, then we rebooted the machine, installed the 2.24 SDK, then plugged in the camera. At this point the Realsense camera showed up in the Windows device manager. My guess is that the problem had to do with a driver installed with an earlier version of the Realsense camera that was not compatible with the T265.
