Using T265 to Track Objects with High Accuracy

I am looking to use the RealSense T265 Tracking Camera to track objects. It seems like this camera is most accurate at tracking its own location in space, but can it also be used to accurately track the locations of objects in the environment?

The D435 depth camera would be a suitable choice for tracking an object since, as you say, the T265 is best suited to tracking its own position, using visual cues in the environment.
