USB 2 for T265
Hi,
According to the documentation the T265 can be used with USB2 as long as you only want pose output and not the camera feeds. We have been testing this and there is significant drift errors when using USB2 and the pose output is effectively useless - is this expected behaviour?
Cheers,
Chris

The conversation in the link below discusses user reports of pose drift when using the T265 with USB2 connections. The users found that there tended to more often be drift problems when using ROS than when they were interfacing with the T265 through C++ code.

Drift can also occur for reasons other than USB2.

Hi Marty,
Thanks for the quick response!
I've definitely noticed the issue with ROS giving pretty rapid drift when using USB2 rather than USB3 but that is a separate issue. The issue I have is that when using USB 2 the location performance is very bad even using the Realsense Viewer, whether it's on a pi or on my laptop.
I've also noticed that the video streams are still available which is weird.
According to the datasheet -
Is there some setting we need to turn off the video streaming?

Apologies for the delay in responding further, as I was considering your question carefully.
I do not have a T265 here with me, so cannot conduct my own tests. Can you try toggling off the 'GLSL Shaders' option in the Viewer please and see if that improves your performance on USB2?
