D435 Recommended firmware
Hello,
I have a very general question regarding firmware version. What is the best choice? Go to the latest production version?
I've noticed that here, https://dev.intelrealsense.com/docs/firmware-releases there is a production recommended configuration but the SDK version recommended is somehow "old" (2.22.0 and the latest one is 2.33.1). Then, it make me wonder about the convenience of using latest SDK build for production since forces you to use development firmware versions.
However, you may have experienced that newer firmware versions although labelled as development are stable enough to be deployed on production solutions.
Could you share some comments or some basic guidelines regarding this topic?
Thank you very much in advance.

In the absence of a recent Production firmware, a good rule of thumb for a stable production build is "one version back" from the latest version. That goes for RealSense SDK versions too. By using one version back, you help to ensure stability by giving time for problems that may arise from the latest versions to be addressed with fixes.
So under a "one version back" guideline, the following versions would apply:
SDK: 2.32.1
FIRMWARE: 5.12.2.100

Hello,
The information of recommended configuration seems not be updated for long time. May I ask if it is still the latest information?

Hi Shigeyoshi Ohara The recommended production configuration is useful as a specification for a proven setup that you can feel confident in putting into a commercial product or critical application that uses RealSense.
If you would prefer to test a newer configuration in such a project then a good rule to apply may be "one version back" - using an SDK and firmware version that is one version older than the current most recent versions. Doing so provides the opportunity to see whether there are any issues that arise from a new release.
