I've just recieved my D415 and plugged in. I can see its drivers are installed from the device.
Downloaded the viewer from Git Hub, but get nothing. nothing opens
Yes, updated graphics drivers ( Intel UHD Graphics 620. Is this OK for the D415?)
Yes, re booted. still nothing any suggestions?

Thanks marty,
yes- windows 10. did you mean the 635mb file?

The file size varies depending on the version but yes, that is the full SDK file for the 2.33.1 SDK version. There is a newer version 2.34.0 (750 mb) that has recently been released though.

Does the Depth Quality Tool launch icon work? They have similar programming, so if there is a problem outside of the Viewer that stops it from launching then it should affect the Depth Quality Tool in the same way.
Also, does the Viewer launch if you right-click on its launch icon and select the Open menu option?

Thanks for the details. The most likely explanation is some kind of conflict with the OpenGL graphics support on your device that prevents the Viewer and the Depth Quality Tool from launching.
Please test the camera with the SDK's Capture tool to see if it launches. This should be at this drive location:
C: > Programs and Files (x86) > Intel RealSense SDK 2.0 > Tools > rs-capture.exe

It does seem likely that the problem is specific to OpenGL graphics support on your computer. Having said that, the version of the RealSense Viewer that comes with SDK 2.34.0 has been having some problems. A way to check whether these problems are responsible for your launch issue would be to download SDK 2.33.1's version of the Viewer (the 28.4 mb Viewer file, not the full SDK).

Uninstalling the SDK is unlikely to solve the problem, since rs-capture is working: the problem seems specific to the Viewer and Depth Quality Tool.
There is a program for Windows called OpenGL Extensions Viewer that can be used to test whether OpenGL is working properly on your computer.

It is meant to offer a rendering test. It looks as though the play button for the rendering test does not show on-screen if you are using the program on a small monitor though, unfortunately.
It sounds as though you have tried updating your graphics drivers and it did not make a difference though.

I located a case where a failure to launch the Viewer in Windows may be caused by a problem with the user documents folder path rather than the graphics drivers. One of the two users in that discussion also had Intel UHD 620 and experienced failure to launch despite driver updates.

No, it's not a RealSense file. It's a Windows user configuration file and so should be left alone.
