how to change sr305 as sr300 in device Manager.

The SR305 has an SR300 camera circuit board inside.  Essentially, it is an SR300 with a new outer casing that makes it easier to mount than the original SR300 model.  My own old SR300 identifies itself as an SR305.  Unless having the drivers listed as SR305 in the Device Manager causes you incompatibility problems with old SR300-supporting commercial software from years ago then there is no harm in leaving it as it is.

thank you for your reply Marty as  you said sr305 has same circuit board with sr300.

then why faceshift 2015.1.02 doesnt work with sr305 ?

    it only works with sr300

i guess  if i change it to sr300 in device manager it'll work..

I apologise for the delay in responding further.

Each RealSense camera product has an individual product ID number.  This may cause problems if an old program is specifically looking for the SR300's ID number and detects the ID number for the SR305 product instead.

I would speculate that your best chance of converting an SR305 to an SR300 may be to follow the process below, entirely at your own risk!

    -  Download the SR300 Depth Camera Manager (DCM) program from the link below by going to the page and scrolling down until you find a section headed 'Intel RealSense Camera SR300 firmware'   Left-click on the Drivers link to download the DCM program installer.

    https://software.intel.com/content/www/us/en/develop/articles/realsense-sdk-windows-eol.html

    -  Run the installer program and confirm that it is able to detect the camera.  If it says that it failed to detect a camera, you will likely have to give up on converting the SR305 to an SR300 at this point.

    -  If the DCM program is able to detect the camera, cancel out of the DCM and go to the Device Manager.  Right-click on the SR305 drivers and select Uninstall.  Check both the Imaging Devices and the Cameras section of the Device Manager to make sure that there are no SR305 drivers in them.

    -  Run the DCM program again.  If it is still able to detect the camera, proceed with the DCM installation process until it completes.  If all has gone well, the Device Manager should now show the drivers as being SR300.

If the process goes wrong and the camera no longer works, uninstall any SR300 drivers from the Device Manager again.  Unplug the camera, wait a couple of seconds and re-insert it.   This should hopefully cause Windows to automatically reinstall the SR305 drivers over an internet connection.

My official recommendation would be to leave the camera as it is in SR305 driver mode, though I do understand how important Faceshift is to its users.

thank you soo much again for your help and effort Marty but didnt work :)

i tryed the things whatever you said but nothing changed.

and tryed different usb3 ports, removed sr305 drivers at device manager and tryed to setup "intel_rs_dcm_sr300_3.3.27.5718" Firmware

    but nothing news.

the last thing i will do trying on other windows versions.

i guess those will not work too :)

There can be differences between different Windows versions and between different computers in how the SR300's driver details are handled.  for example, one PC might put all the SR300 drivers under "Camera" and another PC might divide them between the "Camera" and "Imaging Devices" sections.

It is likely that using a different Windows version will not make a difference, and I do not want to waste your time by suggesting otherwise.  You are of course free to experiment though.

    https://github.com/IntelRealSense/librealsense/issues/4435

but when i try it doesnt work for me. would you explain how to do this process on windows 10.
    for example ;

if i open the viewer there is no option "Install Recommended Firmware" to downgrade to "V3.21.0.0"

If you want to try manually updating the firmware with a firmware file (with the Viewer's 'Update Firmware' menu option or with the rs-fw-update tool), one of the RealSense developers offers advice and an SR300 firmware download link here:
