Lidar L515 Labview Support
Dear Intel support team,
In the Lidar L515 camera specifications it is specified that this camera is supported by LabVIEW which allowed me to make the decision on purchasing it.
Soon after, I discovered that there are minimum to none resources. I would appreciate if you could please guide me to a way of running the camera using LabVIEW as advertised on your specification.
I am sure that intel being a highly renowned company will be willing to keep the high standards and honor what it is advertised on their documentation.
Thanks

Hello Ra408,
Unfortunately, the RealSense LiDAR L515 is not supported by Labiew since the Labview wrapper was developed before the L515 was released. Not all wrappers support all cameras.
Section 5 Software (SDK) in the L515 datasheet where LabVIEW is listed under Wrappers is a generic description of the the RealSense SDK 2.0 and does not apply fully to the L515. I understand that section is misleading and will be addressing this with the documentation team.
Please read the section L500 Camera Notes at the bottom of the Support Matrix page.
The following features are not available for L500 and can be added upon demand:
- Win7 support
- pre-compiled binaries for: Android (7+) & JAVA, LabView and Node.js
- LabView wrapper
Also, the Labview Wrapper README states:
The latest generation of RealSense Depth Cameras can be controlled via the RealSense SDK2.0, also referred to as libRealSense 2.x.x, or LibRS for short. This includes stereo depth cameras D415 and D435 as well as their corresponding modules, such as D410 and D430.
Sincerely,
Jesus G.
