RealSense L515 USB 2.1
I've ordered the RealSense L515 camera and for some odd reason it operates in the following two ways. One, either within realsense-viewer or a ROS realsense package, it will instantly recognize itself to be plugged into USB 2.1. Two, either within realsense-viewer or ROS realsense package, it will recognize itself plugged into 3.2 and after a few moments it will toggle to 2.1. The temporary fixes such as unplugging and reconnecting, switching direction of USB cable, hardware reset, firmware upgrade, and even a few attempts at drivers have not given consistent results. Is there anything I am doing wrong which makes it perform this way?

I have the same issue as listed in the above post "RealSense L515 USB 2.1". My L515 device initially recognized the USB3 and allowed me to change resolution settings RealSense Viewer, but subsequently only recognizes USB2.1 and the resolution is locked at 320 x 240. I'm running Windows 10 on a Dell Precision 5750, and any suggestions/fix would be greatly appreciated... thanks

Hello Jdc,
Thank you for contacting us.
Try flipping over the USB-C connector into the camera to insert it in the opposite polarity.
In order to help us find the cause of these issues, can you tell us how the camera was used before the issue occurred? Was the camera dropped or banged against an object?
The answer to this question will not affect your warranty, but it will help us determine what is causing these issues.Regards,

I don't think it was dropped/banged, although the design of the box did cause a couple scares (the bottom slipping out and almost dropping). I purchased an additional device to experiment w/ multi-camera capture/registration and, when setting up the second device, both began functioning @ USB3.2. The behavior now seems somewhat unpredictable w/ the devices sometimes functioning at 2.1 at time and 3.2 at others.

Hello Jdc,
Have you tried flipping over the USB-C connector into the camera to insert it in the opposite polarity? Some customers found success by doing it.
In addition, please try on a different computer. Sometimes, the USB subsystem of a computer has an impact on how the camera is recognized.

I have the same issue. Brand new l515 out of the box. I am using realsense viewer on Windows 10 and the camera is recognized as USB 2.1 independently of the USB port it is connected to. Also, it only is recognized when the camera end of the cable is inserted in one way. Otherwise it is not recognized at all.
Update. I opened the Depth.Quality.Tool, and to start with, the L515 was seen as USB3. But only for about half a minute, after that it switched to USB2.1 (as I was adjusting the camera position). And now the camera only appears as USB 2.1
Any solution to this which seems to happen to quite a few people ?
