Error executing the sample code for DWS

Hi,

I am using the L515 with DWS. I have the setup in place and using the "RealSense DWS_Viewer" am able to calibrate the camera and measure boxes.

But executing the sample code, gives a few errors Failed to resolve the request, Failed to identify base surface and Command not found. Below is the logs from the code execution. Am executing the sample code as-is, without any modifications. Is there something else that needs to be configured for running the sample code ?

Hello Anoop,

Did you copy the full contents of the RealSenseDWS_SDK folder into your project's $(TargetDir), where your executable resides?

In your sample.cpp file, include "DEBUG_DWS_Sdk.h"

So I am getting this same error.

I included "DEBUG_DWS_Sdk.h" and it made no difference

Once it seemed to progress a lot further but I could not replicate that behaviour again.

It would be great if you could advise a way forward.

Hello Rod,

I was able to reproduce your issue. If you disconnect and reconnect the camera it should start working.

Thank you, that fixed it. Is there a way to turn of all of the info messages? I am not using the debug calls, and I commented out the call to std::cout in _status_callback but its still very noisy.

We are checking with engineering on how to turn off those messages.

Thank you for waiting and apologies for the late reply.

It is not possible to keep the DWS SDK from outputting those messages. It is up to the developer to turn off stdio or prevent the terminal window from appearing.
