435 Calibration Stability
When we receive a shipment of cameras, we test their calibration to make sure they are within our operating spec.
If necessary, we do a quick calibration on them...
I've seen some returns lately, and when testing, the calibration is out of spec.
I'm wondering where the problem is.
- Can you provide any insight on what might cause a camera to come out of calibration?
Are there environmental issues that can cause calibration to change?
- Can you give me any indication of how stable calibration is?
These devices ship to customers but are otherwise unmoving.
Appreciate any help or insight you can provide.

Hi Stevew RealSense cameras are calibrated in the factory and so are normally very well calibrated when new out of the box after purchase.
Events that could cause a miscalibration include a physical shock such as a hard knock, drop to the ground or severe vibration. Being exposed to severe temperature could also cause miscalibration.
