Intel® RealSense™ Depth Module D450 - maximum current drawn

Hello,

I want to ask whether there is a state where D450 module can draw more current - for example if some sort of fault occurs.

Documentation states that for 5V it will draw 700mA (source: datasheet, table 3-46) when operated in normal state. 

Could this value go up and stay there for longer period of time? For example 2000mA?  Or is there some current limiting IC that will cut off power if such a fault occured?

We need this answered for certification purposes.
