Additional External Infrared Dot Projector Purchase Options?
Per this whitepaper, error can be reduced with an external dot projector: Projectors for D400 Series Depth Cameras. It specifies that the use of two cameras works as well as it doubles the number of dots. I would like to purchase a standalone dot projector like the current one on the d435. I realize the exact one is not realistic, but I cannot find a single vendor offering something similar to consumers. Likewise, I have scoured forums and cannot find anyone trying this; some regarding the visible light projectors mentioned. asm OSRAM has one that would work great but no breakout board or dev kit is offered by anyone. Same situation for all others I have found.
Anyone know of something that could work? I need it to be fairly small (no bigger than the camera itself) with a power consumption ideally under 5W.

Hi Noahmercier7 The model of visible pattern projector illustrated in the projector paper appears to be an AAXA M6 mini-projector.

If you need a very small projector with low power consumption then you could also explore the possibility of an inexpensive USB projector with a dot pattern, like this one:

Another option would be to use a second camera and enable both so that their two overlapping patterns are cast onto objects in the scene but only use data from one of the cameras. If it is only the pattern you need then another D435 would be sufficient as the second projector-camera.
