L515 no RGB & recognized as USB 2.1
My L-515 is recognized in RealSense viewer as USB 2.1 so the RGB node will not show up. The camera is brand new. It also cannot be recognized in Dot3D Pro. I've tried the following steps -nothing works.
-Roll back firmware and sofware to prior version.
-New cables (both USB-C 400 mbps & USB 3.2 to USB-C) - none worked.
-Changed polarity of plug cable numerous times with each different cable -no change.
-Plugged unit into another computer - 3.0 ports -nothing changed.
I have no idea what else I could do from here. Any help would be much appreciated. It sounds like this is a very common issue but none of the suggested fixes worked. I honestly cannot believe intel is still having this issue.

Hello Adrian ,
We apologize for the inconvenience.
The first thing to try is flipping the USB-C connector into the camera and inserting it the opposite way to change its polarity. If this doesn’t solve your issue, help us troubleshoot by telling us how the camera was handled before the problem occurred.
The answers to these questions will not affect your warranty. We just want to know why these issues are happening.- Did this happen on the first connection straight out of the box?
- How is the camera mounted?
- Are you using the tripod and cable that came with the package?
- Was the camera dropped?
- Was the camera banged against an object?
- Can you describe any physical impacts on the camera?
Sincerely,
Zulkifli
Intel RealSense Customer Support -
Hi Zulkifi,
Please see my responses below.
- Did this happen on the first connection straight out of the box? Yes
- How is the camera mounted? On an adhesive velcro pad.
- Are you using the tripod and cable that came with the package? Yes but I also tried upgrading the cables.
- Was the camera dropped? No
- Was the camera banged against an object? No
- Can you describe any physical impacts on the camera? None. (perhaps during shipping?)
Honestly I think I'm just going to return it. I've spent way too much time and $ on supportive apps for this thing to not work.
Thanks,
-Adrian.
