When the D455 is discontinued, will it stop working?

Hi Payaxig841  Although some camera models are being discontinued, the 400 Series stereo depth models (including the D455) are continuing.

RealSense depth cameras are not dependent on a licence / subscription or internet connection and so models that are discontinued can continue to be used without disruption.

The models being discontinued are L515 (lidar depth camera), T261 / T265 (tracking camera)  and F450 / F455 (facial authentication solution)

The official Intel 'End Of Life (EOL)' public notice describing the changes to the RealSense range can be read as a PDF at the link below.

What if I wanted an F455(for Facial recognition)? Once they are discontinued will I will be able to use them, correct?

I do not have that information.  I recommend posting a new case on this forum with F455 in the message title instead of D455 to ensure that an Intel support team member knowledgeable in F455 can assist you.  Thanks very much!
