T265 for First Tech Challenge Navigation and object detection
We are an First Tech Challenge team and want to use the T265 for object detection and field navigation. We are well versed with FTC SDK which is primarily Java based. Are there any suggestions on how we can use the T265 to accomplish our goals?

For your information, T265 is no more available for sale.
T265 uses Visual Inertial Odometry Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (VSLAM) algorithm. You can read more about it here.
Besides, T265 can be used on drones. You can refer to the following links regarding using Intel T265 with ArduPilot.

Regarding object detection, it is recommend to combine T265 with D435i as T265 does not have RGB Sensor. For more information about the combination of T265 with D435i, you can refer to the following links:
