L515 suddenly inaccurate
Dear Realsense team,
I and my team have been using the L515 depth camera in our robotics system for about a year and a half. Now we are getting wrong depth values returned from the camera. I have already updated firmware in the Realsense viewer and reset the hardware, unfortunately without success.
It seems to me that the camera has developed an offset of about + 5-6 cm in Z - Direction. Has this problem occurred before, or could it have something to do with the lifespan or wear of the camera ?
We also tried different presets (short range, ...) and looked into camera temps. Temps were a bit high at some point, with values around 50 degrees, but the problems also occur with temps around ~30 - 40 degrees.
Greetings

Hello Buck,
Thank you for contacting us.
The operating condition for the RealSense L515 camera is stated in Datasheet (section 4.5, page 17)
In regard to how the L515 model measures depth, Intel has published a detailed guide at the link below.
