Using projected pattern from another camera
I'd like to use the IR projector from one D435 camera to add contrast to a surface so the depth module on a second D435 can better see the surface. I don't need depth data from the 1st camera, its just supplying the pattern that the 2nd camera uses. Intel designed the cameras so they don't interfere with one another when multiple cameras are used. It looks like they did that by somehow making the projected dot cloud from one camera invisible to other D series cameras. Is there a way to turn that feature off so I can accomplish what I'm after?

Hi Akellyksc The projected dot pattern from a 400 Series camera is not invisible to other 400 Series cameras (except for the D405 model, which is equipped with an IR-Cut filter that blocks dots cast from other cameras from being visible to it).
Multiple 400 Series cameras do not experience interference. Their combined dot pattern projections overlay where the fields of view of the cameras overlap to create a larger number of visible dots in the scene, which can enhance depth image quality.
