Default driver
RealSense Front F200 camera factory installed in desktop running Windows 10. Using Skype or Zoom, image is a green "monster". In Zoom I can change from the Depth driver to RGB and get a real image. Skype doesn't have a driver selection capability. How do I get the RealSense to default to the RGB driver?

During recent tests I did with a RealSense D435i in Skype, I was able to change the driver from Depth to RGB by opening the Settings window, selecting the Audio & Video category and selecting the RGB driver from a drop-down menu beside the word Camera.

Are you able to select drivers with your F200 in Skype using the same method, please?
I am not aware of a way to set the default driver to RGB on Skype when using a RealSense camera.

The only entry beside CAMERA as you describe is Intel(R) RealSense(TM) 3D Camera Virtual Driver.
In Device Manager I tried update driver and am informed the latest version is installed. In properties, under the Events tab the information box reads: "Device USB\VID_8086&PID_0A66&MI_00\7&81af92c&0&0000 requires further installation."
I don't see a way to make that happen since "update driver" didn't work to fix the error message. Perhaps that's the source of the problem, installation is faulty....

First, please check that Windows is set to grant permission to access the camera.

If that does not work, see if the Troubleshooter tool in Windows can detect and auto-correct a problem with the camera drivers. Please visit the page at the link below and click 'Expand Post' to view the entire comment.

The Troubleshooter tool will look for problems in any hardware and device that it can detect, not just cameras specifically.
I got out my own F200 camera and ran a test with the Settings window of Skype. The RGB appeared automatically without having to manually select it, and it used the Virtual Driver as the only driver selection available.

I'm using business Skype ver 8.56.0.102 - only allows the virtual camera selection and RGB is the view that appears, just like you said. But when I'm in a skype session with someone the image is not an RGB image but a green "monster" with multiple contour lines. In Zoom I can select a camera entry and switch to RGB and the display will be me, not the monster. Guess I need to contact Skype for a different version.

Upgraded to Skype 8.59. Can now select Depth, Virtual or RGB. Depth gives the green monster still on the screen shown in the above comment. Virtual gives the same kind of picture as above. RGB is a black display. No idea what it will project to others in a Skype session but now I have the option to figure out which on works in my next online skype session. Thanks for your efforts. RealSense should have an application to allow selecting one of the views as a default.

Glad you made progress! If you would like to submit an official feature request for selecting video views as a default, you can do so by visiting the RealSense GitHub website at the link below and clicking the 'New Issue' button to post your request. I can then label it as a feature request so that the developers can track it.

Thanks so much for signing up. The posting is correct. On reflection though, it is not a feature that the developers would create for the F200, as it is a retired camera model and they don't create updates for the F200 any more (the oldest model that still receives updates is SR300 because of its compatibility with the current RealSense SDK 2.0).
My research indicates that once you have selected a mode from the drop-down menu, it should become the default setting for each subsequent time that you open video communications on Skype.
